Performers 2026

HFA Folklife Ambassadors
A Magyarországról érkező HFA nagykövetek, Hajni és Lajos, akik a Kőrösi Csoma Sándor program ösztöndíjasai, autentikus magyar néptáncot hoznak Phoenixbe.
The Folklife Ambassadors, Hajni and Lajos, will showcase and teach Hungarian traditional folk dances. The dance circle they lead helps you learn some basic steps you can rely on at any Hungarian party where folk music is played.

Crossroads Band
Crossroads Band is a cover band based in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in Hungarian pop-rock music from the 1980s and 1990s — with a special love for contemporary hits from the past decade. Our repertoire includes not only high-energy pop and rock, but also intimate performances of sung poetry and reinterpretations of traditional Hungarian folk songs, reflecting both our roots and our desire to connect cultures.

Traveler
A helyi Traveler zenekar magyar népzenékből inspirálódott műveket ad elő. Scott Jeffers 2014 nyarán járt Erdélyben, ahol hegyi kis falvakban hallott népdalok ihlették.
Traveler, a local band, was mesmerized by the Hungarian (and other Eastern European) folk music when visiting the area. They incorporated some of it into their own, resulting in some unique and fun melodies they will perform at our festival.

Napocska Hungarian School
A Phoenixi Magyar Kulturális Egyesület keretén belül működő Napocska Magyar Iskola diákjai zenés-táncos műsort adnak elő. Iskolánk magyar nyelv elsajátítását, kultúránk és hagyományaink megismerését segíti elő.
Our children of the Napocska Hungarian Heritage School will perform some authentic folk dances and children’s games. Join them in singing Hungarian folk and contemporary songs.

Vizsla Demonstration
A Tappancs Vizsla csapata érdekes információt oszt meg velünk a fajról és ügyességi bemutatót tart.
Tappancs Vizslas will be sharing some fun information about this breed and have one of her dogs demonstrate a smart skill.

“Oh my gosh. My mom, brother and I have attended this event a couple of times and it was great. For us, the food was the best, the vendors were awesome and the music great. For my mom, listening to people speak Hungarian brings her back to when she was a child and listening to her dad and all the aunties speaking it. Reka and her team continue to make this such a great success and we look forward to this festival every year. I literally took the day off to come and will continue to do this every year.”
